The TETR.IO World Championship is an open circuit taking place across 2023. Compete in tournaments hosted by participating communities to gain points. The 64 highest-scoring players at the end of the qualifier stage are invited to the MAIN EVENT in November!
The TETR.IO World Championship is split into 2 stages: the Circuit Stage & the Main Event.
Participants earn Qualification Points by competing in tournaments hosted by participating communities. Their Top 3 Major/LAN Tournament Results (in terms of points) and their Top 5 Minor Tournament Results (in terms of points) will be tallied up and shown in the Ranking.
Once this stage comes to a close, the Top 64 players with the most Qualification Points will be invited to the World Championship Main Event.
Qualification Points can be earned according to the following distribution:

In the event that two or more players have the exact same amount of Qualification Points, the following tiebreaker strategy shall be utilized:
In the case that all three major results and all five minor results are equal for two or more players that contend for a World Championship Main Event spot, a tiebreaker bracket will be set up between the players. The format for this tiebreaker will vary depending on the amount of players who must play in it.
Qualifying players (the top 64 players) will be seeded into 8 groups of 8 player double elimination brackets based on their Qualification Points. The top 2 players from each bracket will advance to the Finals. Matches in this stage will be FT11+2.
The Final 16 players gathered from the Main Event stage will compete in one final single elimination bracket to determine who will be crowned the 2023 TETR.IO World Champion. Matches in this stage will be FT11 Bo3 sets. The World Championship Grand Finals will be FT11 Bo5 sets.
